Creeping Jenny (Lysimachia)
, evergreen, low spreading growth, 1 in. yellow flowers through summer, plant in shade, likes moisture, nice trailing over walls.

Most are vigorous perennials capable of spreading beyond their allotted space, especially if they receive plenty of water. Police them to be sure they don’t invade choicer plantings. Useful for naturalizing at woodland edges or in barely maintained areas. Blossoms are yellow or white; and they appear in summer.

Lysimachia nummularia grows 4 to 8 in. high, spreading 2 ft. or more, rooting as it goes. Forms attractive mat of roundish, light green, 1-in. leaves. Yellow flowers about 1 in. across appear singly in leaf joints. Best use is in corners or containers where it need not be restrained. Will spill from wall, hanging basket.

Lysimachia punctuate is native to Central Europe, Asia Minor. Grows 3 ft. tall and spreads by underground stems 2 ft. or more. Leaves are 3 in. long. Inch-wide yellow flowers appear in summer.
