Prostrate Germander

3 Mar

Prostrate Germander (Teucrium), 4 to 18 in., rosy purple  flowers most of the year, drought tolerant, sun or part shade, deer resistant.

Mediterranean natives with aromatic foliage and whorls of little flowers. These are tough plants that endure poor, rocky soils; they can’t stand wet or poorly drained soils but will tolerate regular watering where drainage is good. This one makes a good ground cover, or cascades over walls. Deer don’t like it.
