Bear’s Breeche (Acanthus), 4-5 ft., purple, rose or white flowers, dark green glossy leaves, likes rich moist soil, does well in sun or shade, and with regular water.  1-2 month flowering season in early spring.

A group of clumping perennial plants including about 30 species. Renown for bold foliage and tall flower spikes that provide striking visual impact. Leaves can reach 2-3 ft. across. Often used in background areas to provide lush and tropical foliage character. Needs little care.
